Dr. Amy Catalano
Dr. Catalano was born and raised in the Boston area. For her undergraduate education, she attended Wheaton College in Norton, Ma. She received her bachelors degree in Biology and continued on to the New England College of Optometry where she received her Doctorate of Optometry. During her education, she did rotations at a VA in White River Junction, VT, Hebrew Rehab Center in Jamaica Plain, Martha Elliot health Center as well as a special population rotation that focused on pediatrics and specialty contact lens fits.
Upon graduating, Dr. Catalano worked for a few private practices and a group that provided laser vision correction. In 2006 she decided to open her own practice and has been there since. Dr. Catalano belongs to the American Optometric Association as well as the Massachusetts Society for Optometrists. She also is and InfantSEE provider - which means that she provides free eye screenings for children under a year old.
Dr. Catalano completed Board Certification by the American Board of Optometry in 2013 and is now a Diplomat of the ABO.
Dr. Catalano just finished a certification in functional medicine and is in the process of completing a fellowship in Ocular Nutrtion through the Ocular Nutrition Soceity.
